Stephen Fearing

Born in Vancouver, now living in Toronto, Stephen spent his boyhood in Dublin. He’s been a troubadour since the late ’80s and is one of Canada's most respected songwriters and guitarists, releasing eight solo albums, plus three with Canadian super-group Blackie and the Rodeo Kings. His latest studio album, Yellow Jacket is his first self produced disc. This beautifully penned eleven song CD features some of his best songs to date. He’s written some of the most literate, stirring and emotionally charged "folk" music on this planet; Beguiling Eyes was covered by Gregson & Collister and more recently by Universal Records’ new signing Gwyneth Herbert. He’s worked with Colin Linden, James Keelaghan, Andy White and Bruce Cockburn. He’s a stunning guitar player with a smooth, intimate and powerful voice: a unique performer and a major talent.

UK touring: May June 2008
